Learning to fly specifically out of Palo Alto involves a few steps.
- Choosing a flight school or flying club located on the field
- Choosing an instructor
- Obtaining a medical certificate
If you are uncertain if you would like to fly, before you commit to joining a school or club, you may schedule a “Discovery Flight”. This is a one time introductory flight lesson.
There are several flight schools and clubs based at Palo Alto Airport. Contact them directly to ask questions or schedule some actual flying. You may wish to consider one of the following clubs first which are supporting members of the Palo Alto Airport Association.
