Airport Day is the most significant activity of the year in bringing awareness of the Palo Alto Airport and what it offers to the wider public. With such enormous public interest, we rely on many volunteers to make the event a great experience for newcomers. You play a essential part!
Tasks needing volunteers include:
- Distribute and post posters, flyers, postcards.
- Saturday setup
- Sunday morning setup
- Event perimeter security
- Welcome greeters and guides
- Tower tours – queueing
- Parking marshalling
- Sunday take down
- Captain a segment of Airport Day
- Curate airport history with some photographs and a narrative summary to display during the event
- Donations to help fund the event. Airport businesses and PAAA donated/member funds pay the expenses of many thousands of dollar$. Donate via PayPal.
Specialized talents needed:
- Artist, graphic designer talent to make our marketing message more compelling and memorable.
- A/V tech
- IT tech, setting up and maintaining flight simulators
